Succop Nature Park Wedding
Molly and Dave had a beautiful wedding at Succop Nature Park. The day was accented with a beautiful palette of blush, blue, navy, and even a touch of gold. I’m telling you, these two are so in love the it RADIATES in every photo! One of my favorite moments of the day was when Molly & Dave exchanged letters during their first look- they decided to do this in place of writing their own vows and it was such an intimate and moving moment. Molly also paid a beautiful tribute to her late father, Dale, by having his photo lined inside her clutch and bringing along one of his flannel shirts as he was a devoted sheet metal worker and extreme outdoorsman. It was a beautiful sentiment to honor her father and their close-knit relationship. It was a joy to be a part of this joyous day and celebration as Molly & Dave committed their lives to one another!
Their Story
From Molly: We met in 2013. We worked together at Pure Hockey when he was in college at RMU and I had just graduated high school. He always had good sense of humor and always made me laugh! About a year after working there we started going on dates in secret because we weren’t sure if work would approve of us dating. A year of dating in secret later, we made it public- three days before I moved to North Carolina!
For the proposal, we had wanted to get away for Christmas- we both just wanted a nice relaxing time where we wouldn’t have to deal with the hectic running around of Christmas and all the gift exchanges. We wanted to just enjoy time spent together, so we booked a vacation to Anna Maria Island, Florida over the week of Christmas. We left Pittsburgh early in the morning on Friday the 23rd, and after going out to eat and being absolutely exhausted, he convinced my tired self to go for a walk on the beach. I hadn’t showered in almost 24 hours, I had no makeup on, I was in sweat pants and a hoodie, and my hair was in a knotted bun that smelt like salt water. But yet somehow to him I was still good enough for him to ask me to marry him! It was just us on the beach, and we did not call or tell anyone until the next day. We got to spend the rest of the night just smiling and holding each other and laughing without sharing each other and without any distractions! We didn’t post to any social medias until Christmas morning, so we really got to enjoy the true moment of it all!
