The history of Pittsburgh alongside the “history of Monica & Aaron” set the tone for this beautiful Heinz History Center Wedding. Monica and Aaron met actually met at the HHC during an event back in 2013 and couldn’t think of a more perfect venue to tie the knot. Wedding prep took place at the Duquesne Club downtown, followed by portraits around Pittsburgh and the Strip District, where we even met up with their fur-babies! With roots in Chicago, these two served deep dish Chicago pizza in lieu of cake at the end of the evening! And sidenote, you don’t want to miss Monica’s shoes!
Their Story
We met at the Heinz History Center in 2013 when we were both at a “History Uncorked” party with our respective group of friends. Our friend groups happen to know each other, and Aaron told Monica that she showed up on his ‘suggested friends’ on Facebook. Needless to say, he didn’t get her number until we thankfully re-met at a happy hour 9 months later. Monica’s friends literally pulled her over to talk to Aaron, and he was very impressed with her 847 area code, which was an homage to many of his college friends! The first few dates mayyyy have been a little rocky, but we knew early on that this was it, and we very quickly invested in Northwestern and Indiana sweatpants to lounge in while binge-watching House of Cards and investing time on petfinder.com.
