Omni Bedford Springs Resort Wedding

Our awesome associate photographers, Sean & John, shot Kate & Daniel’s beautiful wedding at Omni Bedford Springs Resort this past weekend. It was a romantic yet understated affair decorated with lots of lace & intimate details. The date was accented with soft greys, smoky purple, sage, blush, and ivory. Kate’s brother actually officiated the wedding. The women in the bride’s family helped assemble an Italian-American traditional “cookie cake”, a bunch of cookies stacked in the shape of a wedding cake! AND the reception favors were beautifully preserved flower arrangements that Kate made herself- placed in beautiful vintage teacups. And did we mention the awesome Rolls Royce they cruised around in? The car belonged to Kate’s grandfather!

Their Story

From Kate: In the spring of 2017 we were separately encouraged to get to know each other by a beloved philosophy professor, Dr. Schoettle. We had both taken classes and independent studies with him but never got to know each other until we were prompted. Daniel asked me out at the college library where I worked, and our first date was unreal. Daniel brought along poetry by Rainer Marie Rilke which has become a treasured poet between us. Our first date lasted nearly 12 hours of talking, crying, laughing- it was readily apparent to us both that we were falling in love. Later that summer, Dan and I worked together at a nonprofit educational center that is dear to our hearts before we decided to get engaged. Since then we’ve graduated and worked different jobs, lived in different places, and navigated the exciting and vulnerable transitions of our partnership. In the fall, we’ll be moving to Siena, Italy to participate in a Post-Baccalaureate artist residency program. We find solace and communion in our shared interests, creativity, and humor!
