Stepping foot into this neo-Gothic masterpiece, designed by the talented architect Theophilus Parsons Chandler, was like entering a fairytale. As if that weren’t enough, 13 out of the 253 stained-glass windows were meticulously hand-painted by none other than the famed Tiffany Studios. Talk about a feast for the eyes! And let’s not forget the grandeur of the main worship hall, where a magnificent pair of 30-foot, two-ton oak doors added a touch of timeless elegance to the occasion.
Before the ceremony, Emily and Matthew got ready at the fabulous Kimpton Hotel Monaco in downtown Pittsburgh. This 1903 gem, nestled in the heart of the Central Business District, is a true architectural delight. From the moment they stepped into the hotel, it was clear that boldness and playfulness were the name of the game. With its quirky design and vibrant atmosphere, the Hotel Monaco provided the perfect backdrop for the excitement and anticipation that filled the air. The cherry on top? Their first look took place on the hotel’s rooftop balcony, offering panoramic views of the city skyline. Love was definitely in the air, along with a healthy dose of Pittsburgh’s unmistakable charm.
When it came time to celebrate their union, Emily and Matthew knew they wanted an unforgettable reception venue, and boy, did they hit the jackpot! The Duquesne Club, Pittsburgh’s crème de la crème private club, played host to their post-ceremony festivities. Known for its impeccable service, opulent facilities, and a legacy of tradition, the Duquesne Club truly pulled out all the stops to create an evening that would be etched in their guests’ memories forever. From the elegant ballroom adorned with dazzling chandeliers to the sumptuous culinary delights served with flair, every detail was carefully crafted to ensure an extraordinary experience for all.
