Emily & Matthew
On February 18, 2023, these two lovebirds tied the knot in an incredible ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh. This isn’t just any church; it’s a neo-Gothic masterpiece designed by the brilliant Theophilus Parsons Chandler. Walking into this place felt like stepping into a fairytale. Can you believe it? Out of 253 stained-glass windows, 13 were hand-painted by Tiffany Studios! The visual splendor was just breathtaking. And those 30-foot, two-ton oak doors? Absolutely majestic and added such a timeless feel to the whole day.
Before the ceremony, Emily and Matthew kicked off their big day at the super cool Kimpton Hotel Monaco in downtown Pittsburgh. This architectural gem from 1903 is right in the heart of the Central Business District and has so much character. From the moment they arrived, the hotel’s bold and playful design perfectly matched their excitement and joy. Their first look on the hotel’s rooftop balcony, with panoramic views of the city skyline, was pure magic. Love was definitely in the air, along with a healthy dose of Pittsburgh’s unique charm. And let’s not forget, their day was flawlessly coordinated by Madeline Kelly Events, ensuring every detail was perfect.
When it was time to celebrate, Emily and Matthew chose the Duquesne Club for their reception, and wow, what a choice! This place is Pittsburgh’s top private club, known for its impeccable service and luxurious facilities. The Duquesne Club went all out to make sure the evening was unforgettable. The elegant ballroom with its dazzling chandeliers and the delicious cake from The Duquesne Club’s own pastry chef made everything perfect. The night was filled with laughter, joy, and the beginning of so many cherished memories. The gorgeous floral arrangements by The Farmer’s Daughter added a beautiful touch to the entire day. And to top it all off, Studio E Band kept everyone dancing, while Jeremy Scott Films captured every precious moment on video. Emily and Matthew looked stunning thanks to the amazing work of Justine Lynn from Beauty Justified, who did a fantastic job with makeup and hair. From the stunning church ceremony to the lively hotel preparations and the incredible reception at the Duquesne Club, Emily and Matthew embraced the spirit of Pittsburgh and made their day uniquely theirs. We’re so grateful to have been a part of their special day and can’t wait to see where their journey together leads next! Check out some of our other weddings here!
