Renee & Steve had a beautiful Pittsburgh club wedding at the Athletic Association in Oakland. You can’t beat the gorgeous old buildings and classic aesthetic of the Pittsburgh Clubs. We stopped for some photos around the Cathedral of Learning, but the real gem was the contagious smiles these two had all day!
If you’re curious how they met, I stole this from their website :)
Renee and Steve met because of Pittsburgh’s Improv Comedy scene. When their mutual friend Karen (bridesmaid) introduced them to each other they knew immediately that they liked each other, but admired each other from afar for about a year. Occasionally, they would have in depth conversations about Shakespeare, Doctor Who, or the complexity of language and phonetics, but it wasn’t until Steve was invited to join Penny Arcade that they started spending more time together. Penny Arcade is a short form Children’s Improv Team, and because of Penny Arcade Renee and Steve learned how they both valued imagination, creativity, respect for all ages, family, learning and teaching, outreach, and most importantly support through anything.
Once Renee and Steve started dating it was clear to them both that this was what “knowing” felt like. They wanted to spend all their time with each other. Share all their stories with one another. Talk about all the world’s goings-on with each other. They began watching all the movies and seeing all the theater with one another.
It took them a while to admit they were in love because they wanted to be perfectly sure it meant everything they thought it did. They are in love and want to be with each other for always.
