Cairnwood Estate Wedding

We loved traveling to Philly for Terri & Matt’s beautiful wedding at Cairnwood Estate! You can always get a sense of who people are by the company they keep. All day, Terri & Matt’s friends and family couldn’t stop saying nice things about these two… and I could tell why. They are genuinely lovely people. It was an honor to be a part of their wedding day.
It also rained, pretty much all day. But that didn’t stop us… and they booked a mansion, so there were plenty of spots indoors to shoot (;

The Estate

New York Architectural Firm, Carrère and Hastings, designed this beautiful mansion in the Beaux Arts style. The style combines classical Greek and Roman architecture with French Renaissance characteristics. Talk about a structure that looks like it should be located in the middle of Europe!

Cocktail Hour

A mansion, courtyards, and gardens leave guests with endless places to explore during cocktail hour! Cairnwood has many places to explore form the Library & Side Garden, Music Room, Dining Room, Billiard Room, & Porte Cochere!

Great Hall & Terrace

A vaulted two story high ceiling sound intriguing? The Great Hall & Terrace is a breathtaking ballroom! Carved stone fireplace, elegant staircase, pilasters, and French doors, are just the beginning of this grand masterpiece of a room.

But brides can also chose to have both dinner and dancing under the stars on the south outdoor terrace. There aren’t many things more magical than dancing the night away under twinkling market lights breathing in the fresh Pennsylvania air!
